THE 31th Tagoat Steam and Vintage Rally takes place on the Sunday, August 21st starting at 12 noon, with a wide variety of attractions and events highlighting country life in south Wexford. The site of the rally is in the village of Tagoat, 3 miles from Rosslare on the N25 Wexford / Rosslare road.

The Annual Rally which is one of the largest in the south east has over 250 exhibitors displaying their much loved vintage vehicles such as vintage tractors, cars, motorbikes & stationary engines. Of course a steam rally would not be complete without the star of the show the steam traction engines which we have 3 coming this year. Prizes will be given out for the best in show in all the different classes.

On the day we have lots of different events to keep you busy such as a full funfair, bouncy castles,  horseshoes, trade stands and auto-jumble along with a variety of sideshows such as the ever popular ‘Duck Man’ with his own unique duck racing commentary.

For the animal lovers out there we have the legendary Dog Show The Dog Show will be sponsored as usual and this year there are double the normal amount of prizes. We have the pets corner with a selection of animals that the public can get up close with.
We have traditional crafts displays on the day such as a working forge making the horse shoes and a farrier shoeing the horses. We will have one of the steam engines threshing the corn, and a Thatcher showing us the skill involved in making a roof from scratch.

For those who would like to sit down and enjoy the day we have lots of live music and dance. The ever popular Drinagh Mummers will be giving a performance on the day at 3.30pm. Tom Murphy and the Highwaymen will be the resident band and we have some Zumba dancing if you feel like shaking those hips. The Ballindaggin pipe band will be leading out our parade and adding some colour to the day.

Entry to the show is just €5 for adults and children are free.
